-    Obtained MA in International Studies from the University of Leeds, UK (2001).

-    Obtained MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka (1995).

-    Obtained BSc degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences from the Chittagong University (1992).

-    Joined Government Service as an Assistant Conservator of Forests in 1995.

-    Switched to Bangladesh Foreign Service in 1999.

-    Posted abroad in the Bangladesh Embassy in Madrid and in the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi (2002-2009).

-    Served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dhaka as Director West Asia (2009-2010).

-    Served as Director SAARC and BIMSTEC in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dhaka (2010-2011).
