Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Royal Government of Bhutan in June 1992. Worked in various capacities in the Bilateral and Multilateral Departments and also served in the Royal Bhutanese Embassy in New Delhi (1994-1998) and Dhaka (2004-2006). Joined the SAARC Secretariat as Director (Bhutan) in December 2008 and is responsible for matters related to environment including natural disasters, biotechnology and cooperation with Observers to SAARC.
