Ms. Dhital assumed duties at the Secretariat from 15 April 2015.

Ms. Dhital joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal in September 2006 as a desk officer and worked in various departments including SAARC, UN and Passport Department in the Ministry. She served as First Secretary at the Embassy of Nepal/Permanent Mission of Nepal to European Union in Brussels from June 2009 to May 2012. After returning from her abroad assignment, she worked as Under Secretary at the North East Asia Division, UN and International Organizations Division, and Regional Organizations Division.

Ms. Dhital has participated in a number of national, regional and international meetings as a member of the Nepalese delegation.  She attended the 69th and the 63rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2014 and 2008 respectively. She was also a member of Nepalese delegation to the Eighteenth SAARC Summit held in Kathmandu in November 2014. She was a member of the Nepalese Delegation to the Official Visit of Prime Minister to China, in June 2014.

She has participated in a number of short-term international courses in International relations and diplomacy. She attended Diplomatic Training course in Australia in June 2013, in Germany in August 2010 and in India in January 2008.

She graduated in English literature from Tribhuwan University Nepal. Before joining Foreign Service, she worked as a feature writer and reporter for an English daily.
