SAARC Police Trainings for 2013

1. Title of training: Course on Detection of Counterfeit Currency and Fake Travel Documents

Venue: Lok Nayak Jaiparkash Narayan National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, New Delhi, India

Dates:  21 – 23 January 2013 (3 days)

Number / Level of participation expected:Judges/Magistrates, Dy. SP/ACP & above, Prosecution Officials and SSO & above CFSL/FSLs

Local hospitality details: Only four slots are available and will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Only one nomination from each SAARC Member State is admissible.

Deadline for receiving nominations:Three weeks before the commencement of the course

Mode of making nominations: Interested parties from Member States of SAARC are requested to forward their nominations to the SAARC Secretariat through the SAARC Division of Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Ministry of External Affairs prior to deadline. Any nomination sent to SAARC Secretariat directly will not be entertained.

2. Title of training: Course on Drug Law Enforcement and Forensic Science

Venue: Lok Nayak Jaiparkash Narayan National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science, New Delhi, India

Dates:  04 – 08  February 2013 (3 days)

Number / Level of participation expected:Judges/Magistrates, Dy. SP/ACP & above, Prosecution Officials and SSO & above CFSL/FSLs & Defence Personnel

Dates:  27 January – 14 February 2013

Number / Level of participation expected:02 participants from any SAARC Member State at the level of Superintendent of Police

Local hospitality details: Food, accommodation and local transport will be borne by the organiser and international airfare will have to be borne by the sending Organizations

1. Counter Terrorism Strategic Management Training Course

Venue: Sri Lanka

Dates:  04 – 15 March 2013

Number / Level of participation expected:02 participants from any SAARC Member State at mid-level Senior Police Officers

Local hospitality details: Food and lodging and internal transport will be borne by the Department of Sri Lanka and international airfare will have to be borne by the sending Member States
